HC Deb 23 June 1960 vol 625 c769
The Lord Advocate

I beg to move, in page 71, line 32, to leave out "a police station".

This Amendment, together with the next Amendment in line 35, ensures that a police station shall be used only as a last resort as a place of safety. It meets a point raised during the Committee stage discussions.

Amendment agreed to.

Further Amendment made: In page 71, line 35, at end insert: but shall not include a police station unless by reason of emergency there is no place as aforesaid available for receiving the patient."—[The Lord Advocate.]
