§ Mr. NugentCongestion between Marks Tey and the start of the Colchester by-pass is caused at holiday time by the heavy volume of traffic from London on the A.12 joining coast-bound traffic from the West on A.120.
§ Mr. RidsdaleIs my hon. Friend aware of the urgent need to extend the dual carriageway from Marks Tey to the Colchester by-pass? Can he say when the work is contemplated, and whether it is included in the £3 million scheme prepared by the Ministry, to be undertaken in the next two years?
§ Mr. NugentThe solution of this problem is, I think, the building of the Stanway by-pass. That is in our programme, but we have not yet given it a date.
