§ 5. Colonel Beamishasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, how many copies of the official Bulletin 140, "Wild Birds and the Land", have been printed; how many have been sold; if he is aware of the wide interest in, and educative value of, this booklet; and if he will include in the next impression a summary of the schedules to the Protection of Birds Act, 1954, in order that more people may learn which birds are protected by law and which are not.
§ The Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Mr. J. B. Godber)One hundred and five thousand five hundred copies of my Ministry's Bulletin "Wild Birds and the Land" have been printed since it was published in October, 1948, and nearly 100,000 copies have been sold. I think this is evidence of its wide appeal and educational interest. When the question of reprinting arises, my right hon. Friend will be happy to consider including a summary of the schedules to the Protection of Birds Act, 1954.
§ Colonel BeamishMay I thank my hon. Friend?
