Revenue last year was £5,480 million, £137 million more than in the preceding year, and £41 million above the Estimate. Inland Revenue duties yielded £3,016 million—that is, £46 million above the estimate—and Customs and Excise duties £2,191 million or £2 million above the estimate, while other revenue produced £7 million less than the estimate.
