asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if Her Majesty's Government have yet recognised the Government of the Republic of Guinea, under M. Sékou-Touré, following its attainment of independence.

Is the right hon. and learned Gentleman aware that many of us welcome that statement and hope that there will be most wholehearted co-operation with this new territory in West Africa which has gained its independence?
