HC Deb 19 November 1958 vol 595 c1154
Mr. H. Morrison

On a point of order, Mr. Speaker. May I ask what your view is about the report in HANSARD arising out of Question No. 52 yesterday in the name of my hon. Friend the Member for Fife, West (Mr. Hamilton)? I see that the Official Reporters have done their best to handle the matter in an intelligible way, but I am bound to say that I am left uncertain, in the light of the report, whether we must take it that that Question was put and answered or was not. I wonder whether you could give us some help on the matter.

Mr. Speaker

I can only say, in reply to the right hon. Gentleman, that I gather from the OFFICIAL REPORT that the Question was asked and answered; but it was done irregularly, because I had not called upon the hon. Member for Fife. West (Mr. Hamilton) to ask it.
