Friend the Member for Fife, West (Mr. Hamilton)? I see that the Official Reporters have done their best to handle the matter in an intelligible way, but I am bound to say that I am left uncertain, in the light of the report, whether we must take it that that Question was put and answered or was not. I wonder whether you could give us some help on the matter.
§ Mr. SpeakerI can only say, in reply to the right hon. Gentleman, that I gather from the OFFICIAL REPORT that the Question was asked and answered; but it was done irregularly, because I had not called upon the hon. Member for Fife. West (Mr. Hamilton) to ask it.
