§ 34. Mr. Hoyasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what schemes have been approved for the modernisation of hospitals in the City of Edinburgh.
§ Mr. J. N. BrowneAs the list of schemes is lengthy I will, with permission, circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT.
§ Following is the information:
§ Secretary of State last week I was told that he had asked for the submission of a scheme which made possible the introduction of a 44-hour working week for nurses in these hospitals? Can he say whether this has also been taken into account? May we be assured that there will be no lack of finance from the Secretary of State to make this scheme possible?
§ Mr. BrowneI should prefer the hon. Member to put down a separate Question on that matter.
