asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he has yet considered the report on Civil Service problems in Nigeria; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

I assume the hon. Member is referring to Sir John Martin's report following his mission to Nigeria to look into this question. As a result of his examination of the problem certain proposals have recently been put to the Nigerian Governments, and I am awaiting their comments.

Mr. Hall

May I ask my right hon. Friend if in time he could make the report available in the Library?

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

No, Sir. It was a confidential report to me.
