§ Mr. NugentI hope that the improvements at Heath Lane Junction will be completed in the next few months. To the east of the junction and on the north side of the road, a privet hedge has been planted and we intend to replace the existing diseased poplar trees there by replanting.
§ Mr. IrvingWhile thanking the hon. Gentleman for that reply, may I ask whether he is aware that the unkempt appearance of this road has for long been no credit to his Department, and that merely replacing a few poplar trees and one hedge will not do anything to improve the situation? Will he look at the mater?
§ Mr. NugentI think that this will greatly improve the situation. On the south side, we are not proceeding with planting because in due course it is intended to have a second carriageway.
