§ The Under-Secretary of State for War (Mr. Hugh Fraser)It is too soon to give a firm undertaking, but we expect to give up Maryhill Barracks during 1960.
§ Mr. HannanIs the hon. Gentleman aware of the urgent need for this site in the City of Glasgow where there are literally tens of thousands of houses which are over 100 years old? Since no other sites are now available, will he do all he can to expedite the evacuation?
§ Mr. FraserWe are making considerable progress and we can give the hon. Member a target date now which we were unable to do in July. This is as far as we can go at the present moment.
