HC Deb 25 March 1957 vol 567 c790
17. Mr. Hornby

asked the Minister of Health whether the experimental organisation and methods service is now established on a permanent basis; whether any of the several comparative studies of particular topics at a number of hospitals referred to in Command Paper No. 9857 have been completed; and with what results.

Mr. Vosper

The experience of the experimental organisation and methods service in the hospital field is being reviewed, but it is too early to say whether it will be established oil a permanent basis, and if so, in what form. A study on waiting time in out-patients departments in hospitals has been completed, and I am considering what further guidance can be given to hospital authorities in the light of it.
