HC Deb 15 April 1957 vol 568 c1526
5. Mr. Anthony Greenwood

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what changes have taken place in the staffing of his Department since he undertook his present responsibilities for the co-ordination of Government Information Services.

Dr. Hill

To assist me in my responsibility for the co-ordination of Government Information Services, I have a small central staff with general experience of Press and public relations work. My principal assistants are the Prime Minister's Adviser on Public Relations and his Deputy; in addition, apart from my private secretaries, I have two staff with information experience.

Mr. Lipton

Can the right hon. Gentleman say what further information of any kind has been made available to the British public since he took over his present appointment?

Dr. Hill

The Question relates to the size of my staff, and I have faithfully answered it.
