§ 13. Mr. Swinglerasked the Secretary of State for War what method of inquiry will be adopted by the civilian committee investigating the employment of National Service men in the United Kingdom; and if they will be enabled to make unheralded visits to Army establishments.
§ Mr. F. MacleanWe shall follow our normal policy of leaving it to the chairman to decide on the methods to be used. The committee will then be given all necessary facilities.
§ Mr. SwinglerCan we take it from that that spontaneous visits will be made to Army establishments by the committee as a committee, and can the hon. Gentleman give an assurance that the committee will not be the victims of organised "bull"?
§ Mr. MacleanCertainly, if that is the desire of the chairman.
