Friend aware that a constituent of mine whose son is studying at a radar wireless college has been refused the allowance on the ground that that is not secondary education? Can he say under what circumstances this grant would be made for such education which is, after all, entirely in accordance with the Government's policy on this matter?
§ Mr. MacleanThese allowances are intended to cover only secondary education. If, as seems probable, my hon. Friend's 980 constituent is applying for a grant to cover further education, it is not our policy to give grants in that realm of education.
