§ 33. Mr. H. Hyndasked the Postmaster-General why he has refused to erect a telephone kiosk in the Church Kirk district of Church, Lancashire; and whether he will now reconsider this request.
Dr. HillThere is already a kiosk within a quarter of a mile of the centre of this district, and it has been thought that the traffic would not justify another. I shall be glad to discuss the matter with the hon. Member.
§ Mr. HyndI appreciate that offer and gladly accept it. May I ask the Minister to bear in mind that this matter has been in negotiation since December, 1953, when difficulties were made?
Dr. HillI am aware of that. I have looked again at the papers and I deliberately designed my Answer so as to suggest that the matter is not closed. I shall be glad to see the hon. Gentleman.
