HC Deb 26 July 1956 vol 557 cc610-1
10. Mr. Donnelly

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on the Government's future policy on egg marketing.

Mr. Amory

I cannot add to the reply I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Maidstone (Sir A. Bossom) on 20th July.

Mr. Donnelly

Is it the right hon. Gentleman's intention to make a statement on this matter before the Recess?

Mr. Amory

I am not sure whether I shall be in a position to make a statement or not, but I will see that there is no avoidable delay in making up my mind or in notifying the promoters of the scheme of any modifications that I may require before feeling able to put this proposal to Parliament.
