HC Deb 09 February 1956 vol 548 cc1800-1
50. Mr. Peyton

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when he expects to be able to make a statement on future slaughterhouse policy.

37. Mr. Dodds

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what progress has been made in considering the problem of the siting of slaughterhouses.

Mr. Amory

I hope to be able to make a statement shortly after Easter.

Mr. Peyton

I appreciate the complexity of this matter, but does my right hon. Friend realise how eagerly awaited this statement is, and will he do his best to make it as full as possible?

Mr. Amory

I do indeed.
