§ 41. Mr. Pageasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether he will recognise chambers of trade as responsible bodies for nominating persons to serve on area transport consultative councils.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterThese councils include representatives of commerce, and I would not wish to upset their balance of membership by increasing it. In appropriate cases I am prepared to consider inviting the views of chambers of trade in connection with appointments to these councils.
