HC Deb 08 November 1955 vol 545 c1636
19. Mr. Willis

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether any decision has yet been reached concerning the future use of Inveresk Gate.

Mr. J. Stuart

No decision has been reached as to the future of these premises.

Mr. Willis

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that there is concern about the manner in which this has been dealt with and that the equipment in this institute was being advertised for sale before the staff knew that the institute was to be closed? Is he satisfied that full consideration has been given to the possible alternative uses of this centre for further research work?

Mr. Stuart

We are at present giving full consideration to uses of this nature.
