HC Deb 02 May 1955 vol 540 cc1331-2
15. Mr. Bowden

asked the Minister of Health what progress has been made with the work on the boilers of the Leicester Royal Infirmary to eliminate the emission of dust and grit; when this work is likely to be completed; and at what total cost.

Mr. Iain Macleod

I am informed that two boilers have been fitted with mechanical stokers of a more suitable type than that previously used. An economiser has been delivered and is to be installed and working before the end of the summer. The total estimated cost of this work is £9,200.
