asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the established Church in Malta and Maltese political parties, not represented in the Legislative Assembly, will be represented at the Round-Table Conference; and what opportunity they will have of presenting their views in full.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

I think that it will be best to leave the Conference to make its own arrangements for calling evidence. I have no doubt that it will be anxious to have made available to it all points of view in Malta.

Will the talks take place in London, or in Malta and London?

The talks will take place in London. With regard to the Question which my hon. and gallant Friend asked me, I cannot imagine the scheme being successful unless it takes full account of the special position of the Roman Catholic Church in Malta.
