§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterRepresentations were received in my Department and have been referred to my right hon. Friend the Minister of Housing and Local Government for consideration in connection with the Middlesex Development Plan, which is now before him. Before the line of this road can be fixed, I shall have to publish a draft scheme under the Special Roads Act, 1949, and the statutory procedure provides for the lodging of objections.
§ Mr. HarrisIs it possible for the Minister to say when such a scheme is likely to be published? Would he bear in mind that the present uncertainty about the future of this road, which may take anything up to 20 years to build, is having an adverse effect on the value of property?
