asked the Assistant Postmaster-General what revenue the Post Office is now earning from the interleaved advertisements in books of postage stamps.

The gross revenue is at present of the order of £10,000 a year.

Mr. Hurd

Will my hon. Friend commend those responsible for the success of this commercial enterprise of the Post Office as a good example to others?

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General to what extent the public are buying the books of 2½d. stamps recently introduced.

Sales have greatly increased during the last six months and about 140,000 books a week are now being bought.
