HC Deb 02 February 1955 vol 536 c1063
1. Mr. Russell

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General if he will issue instructions that application forms for renewal of car licences should be displayed in post offices so that motorists can obtain them without having to queue to ask for them from an assistant.

The Assistant Postmaster-General (Mr. David Gammans)

This arrangement already exists at some post offices, but my noble Friend is issuing instructions for it to be extended so far as possible to all offices where licences are renewable.

Mr. Russell

May I thank my hon. Friend for that reply, and will he consider doing the same thing in respect of driving licence application forms?

Mr. Gammans

I will look into that matter.
