HC Deb 23 June 1954 vol 529 c414
44. Mr. K. Robinson

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies when he expects to receive the Report of the Royal Commission on Land Problems in Kenya and East Africa.

Mr. Lyttelton

I would refer the hon. Member to my reply to the hon. Member for Oldham, West (Mr. Hale), on 12th May, to which I have nothing to add at present.

Mr. Robinson

Does the right hon. Gentleman not agree that there is a real need for haste here? Will he do what he can to expedite this report?

Mr. Lyttelton

I understand that the Royal Commission is now preparing its report. This is a very complicated question, to which proper study must be given.
