HC Deb 17 June 1954 vol 528 cc2265-6
33. Sir W. Smithers

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he will publish a list of those who have lodged objections with him against the Fatstock Marketing Scheme, gazetted on 26th March last.

Sir T. Dugdale

Yes, Sir. With permission, I will circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT a list of those who made representations or objections to me or to my right hon. Friends the Home Secretary and the Secretary of State for Scotland on or before 12th May, 1954.

Sir W. Smithers

Can the Minister confirm or deny that the National Farmers' Union have turned down the Fatstock Marketing Scheme, that they have refused to operate it?

Sir T. Dugdale
