§ 61. Mr. Rentonasked the Minister of Works what reduction in the staff of his Department will be made when his Department ceases to be responsible for slaughterhouses controlled by the Ministry of Food.
§ Mr. BevinsMy right hon. Friend will presently cease to be responsible for the maintenance of 330 slaughterhouses. This is only a fraction of the building maintenance programme, but as the volume of work falls the staff of my Department is being reduced.
