HC Deb 07 December 1954 vol 535 cc765-6
41. Lieut.-Colonel Bromley-Davenport

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he is aware that, in many cases, hotels require for the efficient conduct of their business, adequate illuminated outdoor signs in the same way as cinemas and theatres; whether, under the present regulations relating to outdoor advertisements, it is his practice in the event of appeals, to give the same consideration to hotels as to places of entertainment; and whether he will arrange for the regulations to be amended so as to ensure that the hotels of this country shall have reasonable facilities in this respect.

Mr. Sandys

I do not know that there is much wrong with these regulations. However, if my hon. and gallant Friend will send me the precise text of the amendments he desires, I will gladly consider them.
