32. Mr. Philips Priceasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether, in view of the dissatisfaction caused in the Forest of Dean by the failure of his Department to consult the local authorities concerned about the 765 disposal of atomic waste, except with the chairmen and officials of two district councils, he will, in future, when such issues arise, take no action till there has been a full meeting of the local authorities concerned at which proper consultation has taken place as required by Clause 5 (4) of the Atomic Energy Authority Act, 1954.
§ Mr. SandysI have looked into the history of this case, and I am bound to admit that the consultation was far from adequate.
Mr. PriceWill the right hon. Gentleman bear in mind that his reply to my Question will give satisfaction to those concerned in the Forest of Dean?
