§ 2. Mr. Parkerasked the Minister of Health what arrangements have now been made for the distribution of special foods to mothers and children; and what proportion of the cost is to be borne by the local authorities and what proportion by the Treasury.
§ The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health (Miss Patricia Hornsby-Smith)Welfare foods are now distributed by local health authorities as part of their services for the care of mothers and young children under the National Health Service Act; as in the case of all local health authority services, a 50 per cent. Exchequer grant is paid.
