§ Mr. P. ThorneycroftThe Burmese Foreign Minister has given notice to Her Majesty's Government, through our Ambassador in Rangoon, of Burma's withdrawal, after 30th September next, from the Ottawa Trade Agreement of 1932. This step does not oblige the Burma Government to make an immediate revision of their tariff and the enquiries we have made do not indicate that they have yet reached any conclusions about their future tariff policy.
