Gentleman for that reply so far as it goes, may I ask him if he is not aware that Fife is one of the most important developing mining areas in the whole of the United Kingdom, and does he think that half a day out of a 10-day visit spent in Scotland is adequate for such an area?
§ Mr. ThorneycroftI am quite satisfied about the full importance of Fife, but I would hope that hon. Members representing Scottish constituencies would not press me from all quarters of the House to extend my visit, for I should not get South of the Tweed at all.
