asked the Minister of Transport when he expects to receive the report of the Thesiger Committee on the licensing of public service vehicles.

I cannot yet add to the answer I gave to the hon. Member for The Hartlepools (Mr. D. Jones) on this subject on 6th July.

Mr. Davies

Will the right hon. Gentleman give an undertaking that if this report is received during the Parliamentary Recess, the Government will take no action until an opportunity has been given for its debate in the house?

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

I cannot hold out any hope that this report will be ready before the autumn, so the hon. Gentleman's fears are probably groundless.
