HC Deb 16 December 1953 vol 522 c387
Mr. Attlee

May I ask the Lord Privy Seal for what purpose it is proposed to suspend the Ten o'Clock Rule tonight?

The Lord Privy Seal (Mr. Harry Crookshank)

Yes, Sir; in order to conclude, first of all, the debate on affairs in Africa on the Motion in the name of the right hon. Gentleman, and, secondly, the adjourned debate on the Amendment on the question of television.

Mr. Attlee

The Motion relates only to Government business. Can it therefore apply to the debate on Africa?

Mr. Crookshank

That debate will conclude at Ten o'Clock—

Mr. Wyatt

Are you sure?

Mr. Crookshank

—and the Government Business will apply to the item following on Page 850 of the Order Paper.
