HC Deb 16 December 1953 vol 522 cc377-8
45 and 46. Mr. Wyatt

asked the Prime Minister (1) what agreement he reached at Bermuda with the President of the United States of America on the exchange of atomic information

(2) whether he will issue a White Paper covering the decisions made and the conversations which took place at the recent meetings at Bermuda between himself, the Prime Minister of France and the President of the United States of America.

The Prime Minister (Sir Winston Churchill)

As I said yesterday, these matters will be dealt with in the foreign affairs debate tomorrow.

Mr. Wyatt

Cannot the Prime Minister promise us something a little more than the familiar platitudes we had in the communiqué issued at the end of the Bermuda Conference? As it is likely that the right hon. Gentleman will not add very much to it tomorrow, could not he take some time during the Parliamentary Recess to produce a comprehensive document which, if written by himself, might at least be written in pleasurable English?

The Prime Minister

While I appreciate these compliments from the hon. Member, I hope he will think about leaving me something to say in my speech tomorrow.
