Mr. Fenner Brockwayasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will make a statement regarding the situation in Kenya, with particular reference to the destruction of the African settlements near Nairobi, the arrest of their 6,000 inhabitants for screening, the deportation to the Kikuyu reserve of those not detained, and the extension to Nairobi of the order to shoot to kill Africans who resist arrest or attempt to escape.
