§ 29. Mr. Christopher Hollisasked the Minister of Food whether he will make a statement on the Report of the Queensland Food Corporation.
Dr. HillI cannot at present add to the information in the Report and the reply which my right hon. and gallant Friend gave to a Question by my hon. Friend the Member for Newbury (Mr. Hurd on 27th February.
§ Mr. HollisIs my hon. Friend aware that, according to Press reports at any rate, there is a very radical difference of opinion between the Chairman and the Deputy-Chairman as to what should be the future policy of the Corporation, and that it is a matter of very considerable anxiety that we should know as soon as possible where we are going?
Dr. HillMy hon. Friend will realise that the Corporation is in the process of establishing the Committee of Investigation which was provided for in the agreement, and that future steps will be decided, no doubt, by the Corporation, by the Queensland Government and by Her Majesty's Government in the light of the report of that Committee.
