asked the First Lord of the Admiralty the present duties and the future intended use of H.M.S. "Formidable."

Her Majesty's Ship "Formidable" is at present in reserve. Her future is under consideration.

Mr. Langford-Holt

Can my right hon. Friend say how long this ship has been in her present state and when his Department will arrive at a decision as to what will happen to this vessel?

Mr. Thomas

I cannot say how long the ship has been in the state to which my hon. Friend referred, but I can say that a decision is now not very far away.
