HC Deb 28 July 1952 vol 504 c1066
3. Major Beamish

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what reports he has received regarding the bombs that have been dropped on Chinese territory by United Nations aeroplanes, by accident or design, since the outbreak of hostilities in Korea; and if he will give all available details.

Mr. Selwyn Lloyd

Since the outbreak of the Korean conflict United Nations pilots have had strict instructions not to violate the Manchurian frontier. No bomb of any kind has been dropped on Chinese territory by aircraft operating under the United Nations Command.

Major Beamish

Since the object of Communist propaganda about germ warfare is to deceive gullible people, in which it has been by no means ineffective, is it not important that the facts which my right hon. and learned Friend has just given should be made more widely known?

Mr. Lloyd

I quite agree with my hon. and gallant Friend.
