asked the Minister of Agriculture what was the poultry population in this country at the last available date; and what were the comparable figures for 1950 and 1951.

In March, 1952, the total poultry population in the United Kingdom, including an estimate for poultry in private gardens and on holdings of one acre and under, was 85 million. The corresponding figures for March, 1950, and March, 1951, were 91 and 88 millions.
