§ Sir T. DugdaleIn March, 1952, the total poultry population in the United Kingdom, including an estimate for poultry in private gardens and on holdings of one acre and under, was 85 million. The corresponding figures for March, 1950, and March, 1951, were 91 and 88 millions.
