HC Deb 10 July 1952 vol 503 c1521
69. Mr. F. Maclean

asked the Minister of Agriculture what active steps he is taking to ensure that the limited area of agricultural land in this country is neither used inadequately nor misused through incompetence.

The Minister of Agriculture (Sir Thomas Dugdale)

I would refer my hon. Friend to the statement that I made in the debate on 12th June.

Mr. Maclean

Does my right hon. Friend recognise a quotation from one of his own speeches, and would he not try to give a more definite answer than the one he gave the last time?

Sir T. Dugdale

I do not think that this is an occasion to go into a question of this sort, but I can assure the House that since the statement was made I have heard very encouraging reports.
