asked the Minister of Food how the present authorised fruit contents of jam compare with those which prevailed between 1929 and 1939: and whether he will make a statement as to his future proposals with regard to the fruit content of jam.

As the reply to the first part of the Question contains a number of figures, I will, with permission, circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

As I stated in reply to a Question by the hon. Member for Faversham (Mr. Wells) on 4th December, I intend to review the minimum fruit contents of jam before the next jam-making season.
