24. Mr. Baker Whiteasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Defence if he is aware that Her Majesty's Forces are unable to obtain apple juice in the Navy, Army and Air Force Institute's canteens; and whether, in view of the increasing demand for non-alcoholic drinks among members of Her Majesty's Forces, he will take steps to ensure that this home-produced drink is made available.
§ The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Defence (Mr. Nigel Birch)I am aware that this product is not stocked by N.A.A.F.I. canteens because there is little or no demand for it. If a demand should develop, I am sure that the corporation would do their best to meet it.
