HC Deb 22 November 1951 vol 494 cc725-6
Mr. Peake

I beg to move, in page 5, line 26, after "payable," to insert "or has been paid."

This Amendment is consequential on dating back the payment in the fatal cases for a period of two years. The purpose of the Amendment is to ensure that in cases where £250 has already been paid under the benefit scheme there is only a further £50, to make up the total of £300 which will be attracted by the other cases which do not come under the benefit scheme. I think the point is quite clear.

Amendment agreed to.

Clause, as amended, ordered to stand part of the Bill.
