44. Mr. Richard Wood

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether his Regulations permit banners made of cloth to be used for display purposes outside business premises with accommodation above, occupied by the tradesmen desiring to erect the banner.

Yes, Sir, if the banners relate to the business carried on are on the business part of the building and are within the limits specified in the Regulations. In other cases, consent is required.

If I send details to my right hon. Friend of a case in which permission was refused, will he be kind enough to look into it?
