HC Deb 29 May 1951 vol 488 cc35-6
73. Mr. John Hay

asked the Minister of Local Government and Planning how many water undertakers failed by 1st October, 1950, to apply, under section 32 of the Water Act, 1945, for him to make an order under that section; and in how many cases he proposes now to exercise his powers.

Mr. Lindgren

Twenty-eight undertakers have applied for orders under Section 32 of the Water Act, 1945, applying the provisions of the Third Schedule to the Act in whole or in part. Twenty-six orders have been made, and the remaining two are under consideration. There is no obligation for any statutory water undertaker to apply for an order under this section.
