§ 28. Mr. Langford-Holtasked the Secre tary of State for War what consultations he has had with the Minister of Defence with a view to combining the recruiting centres in Shrewsbury into a joint recruiting centre.
§ Mr. StracheyConsultation between the three Services, the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Works about the provision of joint recruiting centres is continuous. It has been agreed that a joint recruiting centre should be established in Shrewsbury as soon as a suitable property becomes available.
§ Mr. Langford-HoltWhile accepting the fact that it is desirable that the Services should occupy one building rather than three separate buildings, is the right hon. Gentleman satisfied that the interests of the Army will not be prejudiced in any way by being joined to the other Services?
§ Mr. StracheyI see no reason to suppose that.
