Mr. Hollisasked the Minister of Education whether he is aware that instructions have been given to the staff at Burderope Park Training College, near Swindon, to vacate the premises by 31st August; whether he will state for what new purposes the premises will be used; and what members of the staff will be reemployed.
§ Mr. TomlinsonThe answer to the first part of the Question is "Yes," but the staff have also been informed that requests to continue in occupation of quarters for a short time in cases of real need will be considered so far as possible. After the closure of the training college, the premises are not to be used for any other purpose within the sphere of my Department.
