§ 6. Mr. J. Grimstonasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation why the radio range service at London Airport has been discontinued.
§ Mr. BeswickThe radio range service at London Airport has been discontinued owing to radio congestion in the medium frequency band. It has been replaced by a low power non-directional medium frequency beacon which meets operational needs.
§ Mr. GrimstonIs the Minister aware that a number of aircraft which use this airport would need this particular facility? They have not the alternative he mentioned.
