HC Deb 06 December 1950 vol 482 c362
58. Brigadier Rayner

asked the Minister of Food whether he will now sponsor a licence to rebuild the Crowing Cock Café at Torcross in Devon which was destroyed by the American Army during battle practice for D-Day.

Mr. Webb

As the hon. and gallant Member has already been informed in correspondence by my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Secretary, we fully sympathise with this application, and have only been prevented from sponsoring it this year by the limitations on our capital investment programme. I hope that we shall be able to support it early next year.
